The Kiira Vehicle Plant is the realization of a vision that began over a decade ago, on November 24, 2011, when His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni officially launched the Kiira EV at Makerere University. This birthed the vision to establish an indigenous motor vehicle industry, meeting not only Uganda's mobility needs but also those of the wider African market.
