Application Process

To apply for any job you must hand deliver your application documents to the Kiira Motors Corporation’s Office at Plot 13 Kimera Road, Ntinda before the deadline. No applications will be accepted after 17th January 2020 at 1700 HRS. Please note that we are not accepting applications received through email.

Your application documents should include the following:

  1. An application Letter (Cover Letter) addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Kiira Motors Corporation.
  2. A CV (Please use this CV template).
  3. Certified copies of Academic Documents (Certificates and Transcripts). Only copies certified by the awarding institution will be accepted.

Evaluation of the Application

We do appreciate your interest in working with us, however, only shortlisted candidates shall be contacted for interviews through e-mail within two weeks after close of Applications. .

Interviews

Shortlisted candidates shall sit an Aptitude Test. All candidates who pass the Aptitude Test shall proceed to the next stage which shall be the Oral Interview. Candidates shall be informed of the date and time of the Tests/Interviews (7) seven working days in advance. For some job openings, candidates shall need to pass a Personality Test.

1. ACCOUNTANT

Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for providing financial and accounting services to Kiira Motors Corporation.

Key Functions

  1. Posting accounting entries into the General Ledger.
  2. Preparing Management Accounts and any other reports as required.
  3. Participating in preparation of statutory company financial statements.
  4. Ensuring the company internal controls are adhered to and recommending any improvements.
  5. Filing monthly statutory returns.
  6. Preparing monthly bank reconciliation statements
  7. Preparing payments by verifying supporting documentation and requesting for and ensuring disbursement of funds in a timely manner.
  8. Prepare payment certificates and ensuring receipts are filed for all payments made to service providers.
  9. Filing payment vouchers and ensuring that all financial records are complete and securely backed up.
  10. Provide responses to accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policies, regulations and guidelines.
  11. Providing accounting clerical services as may be required
  12. Any other duties assigned by the Senior Accountant.

Person Specifications:

  Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)

  1. Bachelor’s Degree (Honors – At least Second Class Upper Division) in Commerce, Business Administration, Business Studies, Finance, Accounting or related field from a recognized Institution; and
  2. Must have completed level 2 of the Certified Public Accountants Course

2. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant shall be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient and effective office operations at Kiira Motors Corporation. He/She shall support Managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to office organisation and communication.

Key Functions

  1. Produce and distribute correspondences memos, letters and other documents as assigned
  2. Organise and Schedule meetings and other company appointments.
  3. Maintain Supplies Inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels anticipating needed supplies, picking and ensuring delivery of supplies and verifying receipt of supplies.
  4. Ensure operation of office equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining small office equipment inventories, evaluating and recommending office supply needs and requirements.
  5. Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
  6. Organise company travels for staff.
  7. Coordinate support stuff to ensure timely, efficient and effective use of company resources.
  8. Develop and update administrative procedures and systems to make them more efficient and effective.
  9. Any other duties assigned by the Senior Administration Officer.

3. COMPANY DRIVER

Job Summary

The Company Driver is responsible for driving and maintaining the assigned company vehicles in accordance with the company process, guidelines and regulations as well as the Traffic and Road Safety Act 1998 (As Amended) and other applicable regulations.

Key Functions

  1. Driving any vehicle assigned for official duty and assignments
  2. Carrying out basic maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle
  3. Reporting all Technical and Mechanical faults to the supervising officer
  4. Ensuring the safety of the vehicle and its occupants while on duty
  5. Any other duties assigned by the Senior Administration Officer.

Person Specifications:

  Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)

  1. Valid Driving License to drive a bus (Class/ Group DM)
  2. Certificate in Defensive Driving
  3. Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE)
  4. Must pass a personality test

 Experience (Minimum Requirements)

Three (3) years experience as a Company Driver.
